Terms of service

The working agreement behind every engagement: term, payment, approvals, and who owns what.

The agreement

These terms govern the services provided by Social Signal, a social media agency and client-acquisition system for founder-led B2B coaches, consultants, and advisors. By signing a proposal, paying an invoice, or beginning the onboarding process, you ("the client") agree to these terms. If a signed proposal conflicts with this page, the signed proposal controls for that engagement.

What we do

We provide done-for-you social media services: content created from your weekly founder interview, scheduled publishing, engagement and inbox management, and pipeline reporting. Service tiers are Presence ($800/month, $450 setup), Authority Engine ($1,500/month, $900 setup), and Category King ($2,500/month, $1,500 setup). Management of your X/Twitter account is a $49/month add-on on Presence and Authority Engine, and is included in Category King. The exact scope of your tier is defined in your proposal.

Term and cancellation

Engagements begin with a 3-month initial term, then continue month-to-month. After the initial term, either party may cancel with 30 days' written notice, and services continue through the end of the paid period. Setup fees are non-refundable once onboarding has begun, because kickoff work starts immediately. We do not require long-term contracts beyond the initial 3 months — if the pipeline is not worth it to you, you should be free to leave.

Fees and payment

Retainers are billed monthly in advance; the setup fee is due before kickoff. Invoices are payable on receipt. See the full tier comparison on our pricing page. If payment is more than 7 days late, we may pause publishing and engagement until the account is current — paused days are not credited, because your content calendar cannot be rewound. We may change pricing with 30 days' written notice, but never during your initial 3-month term and never retroactively.

The pilot

The 30-day paid pilot costs $1,500. If you continue into a retainer, the full $1,500 is credited toward your retainer fees. One pilot per client. Pilots are capped at 5 concurrent engagements so every pilot client gets full attention — scheduling is first-come, first-served, and a booked pilot holds your start date. Full details are on the pilot page.

No call guarantee

Social Signal offers no guarantee of calls, clients, or revenue, in any number. An earlier version of these terms carried a 10-call guarantee; it was unproven and has been removed. What the service provides instead is the call-tracking dashboard — every call the system produces, reported in numbers — and the cancellation terms below.

Your responsibilities

Our machine only works if you do your part. You agree to attend the weekly 30-minute interview on time (reschedules need 24 hours' notice), to approve content within 2 business days of receiving it, to provide accurate information about your business and offers, and to grant us the account access we need in a timely way. Nothing publishes without your written approval — but if approvals stall, your content calendar pauses with them, and we cannot make up lost publishing days retroactively.

Content ownership

Once your invoices are paid in full, you own the finished content we create for you — the posts, videos, and graphics published to your accounts. We retain ownership of our underlying processes, templates, systems, and know-how. We will never use your name, likeness, or business results in our marketing without your separate written permission.

Service standards

We commit to the following standards: kickoff within 48 hours of completed onboarding; your first post live within 7 days of kickoff; DM responses within 2 business hours and comment responses within 4 business hours on Authority Engine and above (business hours are Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm ET); and your monthly pipeline report delivered by the 3rd business day of each month. Support is available Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm ET.

Confidentiality

We treat your business information — your offers, pricing, client lists, and strategy — as confidential. We disclose it only as needed to deliver your services or as required by law, and we require the same of anyone on our team who touches your account.

Acceptable use

You warrant that you have the rights to all materials you provide to us (logos, photos, testimonials, claims about results). You will not ask us to publish anything unlawful, deceptive, or infringing, and we will refuse work that violates our published standards — including fake reviews, purchased engagement, or misleading claims. If a piece of content cannot be published honestly, we will tell you and propose an honest alternative.

Limitation of liability

We do our work carefully, but social platforms change their algorithms, policies, and availability without warning, and we cannot control that. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any engagement is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost profits.

Termination

After the initial term, either party may terminate with 30 days' written notice. We may terminate immediately for non-payment after the 7-day grace period or for material breach of these terms. On termination, we deliver any completed but unpublished content you have paid for, revoke our access to your accounts, and delete stored credentials within 30 days.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms with 30 days' written notice to active clients; the version in effect when your initial term began governs that term. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We are based in Erie, PA and serve clients nationwide.

The 30-day Pilot is $1,500 — credited in full if you continue. There is no call guarantee — the call-tracking dashboard reports every call the system produces, in numbers (weekly 30-minute interview required; 5 pilots max at a time).
